Kostas Tsakonas graduated from Diplarion School with a degree in Electrical Engineering and studied at the "Drama School of the People's Experimental Theater" of Leonidas Trivizas and the "Veaki" drama school. His first appearance in cinema was completely by chance in a short film by Kostas Zyrinis. He then played many leading roles in cinema, theater and television. His role in the film "Teach My Child Letters" was a characteristic one. The actor was seriously injured in 2004 when a tree fell on his head and in combination with various health problems that plagued him, he was no longer able to work in the theater. His health problems and difficult financial situation led him to consider going on a hunger strike as a sign of protest at Easter 2011. Kostas Tsakonas breathed his last on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 4, 2015, five years after a serious stroke that left him very unstable, while he was battling cancer.
