Redrama, or Lasse Mellberg, born in 1977 in Helsinki, Finland, is a Finnish-Swedish hip-hop artist, singer, songwriter and producer. Redrama sings in English, but also in Swedish. In 2001, he won the Finnish Rap Championships. That same year, he released his self-titled first EP. Redrama made his breakthrough in 2003 with the album âEveryday Soundtrackâ and the single âHang it upâ, which topped the Finnish singles chart. For âEveryday Soundtrackâ, he won the 2005 European Border Breakers Awards. At the end of 2009, he released the EP âSamma pĂ„ svenskaâ, where he rapped in his native Swedish for the first time. The song âDuâ was released as a single from that EP. During his career, Redrama has worked with, among others, Proof, Madcon, Prop Dylan, Ken Ring and Promoe. He participated and sang in the Finnish-Swedish song for tolerance and openness, âVĂ„r Tid, VĂ„rt Landâ. He is one of the judges in the television program The Voice of Finland. Redrama was YLE Radio Vegas' summer talker in 2014.
